Afon Mel Meadery Heather Mead 13%

Afon Mel's flagship mead, brewed with pure Welsh heather honey. In August when the heather blossoms we take our hives up a nearby mountain where the bees can harvest pure heather nectar. The resulting honey is rich and gelatinous, very similar to manuka, and the resulting mead is incomparably complex and rewarding.

We age the mead for two years before blending to reach our desired flavour profile, sweetness, and abv. The result is a lightly hazy mead with a powerful floral aromas, incredible depth, and a long finish.
